While its styling is understated, the Tyrant boasts numerous technological advancements under the hood, including ventilation and MIPS spherical technology. MIPS spherical technology utilizes a pair of foam layers that function like a ball and socket to redirect impact energy in a crash. One layer is EPS, which is well-suited for high-speed accidents. The other is a lower-density EPP foam with rebound characteristics to handle low-speed, roll-around-in-the-dirt spills. The additional coverage of this full-coverage design further enhances protection, while also taking helmet design in a new direction for riders who prioritize style over speed.
