It features ThermoBall™ Eco insulation made from recycled polyester to keep you warm during winter hikes and other outdoor activities, even when wet. This hooded jacket can be worn as an insulating layer under your favorite shell or on its own in dry, windy conditions for comfort and warmth during your outdoor adventures. And when it's time to pack it away, you can stow it in the chest pocket for easy transport. This mid-layer is ideal for an onion-like layering system, which consists of three layers. The base layer, worn next to the skin, keeps you warm and wicks moisture away quickly. The mid-layer, consisting of insulating or fleece garments, protects against the cold while wicking away excess heat during activity. And finally, the outer layer, the shell which, worn over the other layers, is the most effective against the elements.
